Record the GPS data with an application like Stag, it produces a GPX file. I do it on iPad.
Using gpscorrelate-gui, strip bad GPS data and then correlate the images.
jhead, exiftool may help to see and modify fields (i.e. time of shot).
A possible application to see the gpx file on the map: http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/map
Flickr may be used to display photos on map.
Remember to overlap, manual focus, manual exposure, manual WB, better bracket -2/0/+2 (may be we will make HDR).
Hugin panorama creator is the application that I'm using to stitch the photos.
I am Eye-fi Explore X2card owner.
To program direct mode to the iPad, follow this link http://support.eye.fi/mobile-applications/ios-eye-fi-app/
Seems to have to activate manually the iPad for the eye-fi network
I usually bracket -2/0/+2.
I have programmed the camera and saved the settings for that at "U1"
Photomatix has been the leader but qtpfsgui is an open solution with good results too.
Avoid PhotoshopExpress, it says "This photo is too large to be opened".
Photogene OK
Use imagemagick package:
convert *.jpg out.pdf
